1999: A native of Budapest, Hungary, and a member of the Hungarian National Team, Lontay will add to USC's depth as a 1999 sophomore utility player.
Jovan Vavic Says: "Daniel has great international experience and is a very smart player. He adds greatly to the team speed and is very dangerous on the counterattack. He's also a good outside shooter."
Hungary: Lontay has played on the Hungarian senior, junior and youth national teams since 1992. The team had second-place finishes at the 1997 World Junior Championships, 1996 European Junior Championships and 1996 European Youth Championships. He was also a member of the Ferencvaros Torna club team that won the 1998 European Cup-Winners Cup and the 1997 Hungarian Cup.
Personal: Daniel plans on majoring in business. His last name is pronounced "LAWN-ty-ee". His birthdate is Jan. 9, 1978.
