    Kostas Genidounias helped his Greek national team qualify for the 2016 Olympic almost a year ago with their bronze-medal finish at the 2015 FINA World Championships. That international accomplishment came following the close of an incredible collegiate career for Genidounias, who won the 2014-15 Peter J. Cutino Award and collected three straight NCAA Championships as a Trojan. The MVP of the 2010 European Youth Championships, Genidounias booked himself a ticket to Troy soon after to start his storybook journey at USC. A four-time All-American, 2014 National and MPSF Player of the Year and member of USC’s 2011, 2012 and 2013 NCAA Championship teams, Genidounias finished as the Trojans’ all-time leading scorer, having broken the USC record with his 261 goals as a Trojan. Barely two years later, Genidounias is now set up with Olympian status, having secured a roster spot on the 2016 Greece Olympic Team bound for Rio de Janeiro.

    2014: Genidounias took over as USC's all-time top scorer as a senior, breaking the single-season scoring record with his 82 goals scored in 2014 and finishing up with the USC career record with 261 career goals... Won the Peter J. Cutino Award and was a First Team All-American... Named the National Player of the Year and the MPSF Player of the Year... Slected to the NCAA All-Tournament First Team and the All-MPSF First Team... Named MPSF Tournament MVP... Scored in 29 games with 26 mutliple-goal efforts, including a four-goal outing in the NCAA Semifinal that saw Genidiounias score the winner in sudden death to take the Trojans to the NCAA final for the 10th straight year... Set his career high with seven goals scored against Cal on Sept. 21.

    2013: Genidounias was USC's second leading scorer with 80 goals as a junior, ranking fourth in single-season scoring... Also finished the season ranked No. 5 all-time in career scoring... A finalist for the Peter J. Cutino Award, he also was a First Team All-American... Selected to NCAA All-Tournament First Team and MPSF All-Tournament Team... Earned another place on the All-MPSF First Team... Scored seven goals at the MPSF Tournament and three at the NCAA Tournament, including two in the national championship game... Scored in 31 games with a team-high 27 multiple-goal outings... Matched his career high with five goals scored at Cal.

    2012: Genidounias was USC's second leading scorer with 68 goals as a sophomore, tying USC's fifth-most single-season goals all-time... Scored the game-winning goal in the NCAA Championship... Named a First Team All-American and to All-MPSF First Team... Selected to NCAA All-Tournament First Team and to MPSF All-Tournament Team... Scored in 27 games with 20 multiple-goal outings... Second on team in assists (40), steals (37) and field blocks (17)... Matched career high of five goals vs. Air Force in the NCAA Semifinals and at Long Beach State... Also scored four vs Stanford in the MPSF Semifinals.

    2011: Genidounias was USC's third leading scorer with 31 goals as a true freshman... Earned All-America Honorable Mention and All-MPSF Honorable Mention... Scored three goals in the NCAA Tournament... Scored in 16 games overall with 10 multiple-goal outings... Set career high with five goals vs. UCLA in the NorCal Tournament championship win.

    NATIONAL TEAMS: Genidounias is a member of the Greek National Team... Competed for Greece at the 2013 FINA World Championships... As a member of the Junior National Team, finished third at the 2011 FINA Junior World Championships... Also finished second at the 2009 Junior World Championships with Greece... As a member of the Greek Youth National Team, placed second at the Youth European Championships and was named the MVP of the European Youth Championships in 2010.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Genidounias played club water polo for Athletic Club at Palaio Faliro... Was a member of seven Pan-Hellenic Championship teams, also with one third-place finish... An honor student at American Community School of Athens.

    PERSONAL: Genidounias is majoring in communication... Parents are Sofaklis and Lilly... Has two brothers, George and Dimitris, and one sister, Maria...
