    Former USC All-American Peter Janov begins his fifth season as an assistant coach of both the men's and women's water polo teams at USC.

    Janov was a third-team All-American in 1999 during a two-year career with the Trojans. He was third in scoring with 31 goals. In his 1998 junior season, Janov earned All-America honorable mention honors. He finished fifth on the team in scoring with 33 goals.

    At the 1999 Senior National Championships, Janov was named MVP after his Trojan Water Polo team won the tournament title. He has been a member of New York Athletic Club since 2000.

    Janov transferred from Golden West College, where he earned two-time All-America honors. In his 1997 sophomore season, he was the Southern California co-MVP and South Coast Conference MVP as the Rustlers posted a 36-0 record and won their ninth consecutive state title.

    Janov graduated from USC in 2001 with a degree in economics.
