    THIS SEASON: Giery enters his second season at USC.

    2008: Giery collected 14 saves in two games in his first season at USC.

    AT GOLDEN WEST: Giery played one season as goalie at Golden West College.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Giery played water polo and threw shotput and discus at Mira Costa High... Water polo team won 2004 CIF championship... Named to All-CIF First Team in 2006 and All-CIF Second Team in 2005... Also a two-time Daily Breeze First Team selection... In track, set school record for discus in 2006 and was a Daily Breeze First Team pick... Played club for Los Angeles WPC.

    PERSONAL: Giery is majoring in public policy and development... Parents are Ron and Laurie... Has three siblings, Ron, Kelly and Jeffrey... Jeffrey is currently on the team, and Ron also played water polo at USC... Enjoys going to the beach and disk golfing in his free time... Says his favorite food is anything his mom makes...
