THIS SEASON: Burton enters his senior season at USC as a proven force on both sides of the ball.

2010: A team captain, Burton was third on the team in scoring with 33 goals as a junior... Named a Third Team All-American and received All-MPSF Honorable Mention... Also selected to NCAA All-Tournament Second Team... Scored in 21 different games with eight multiple-goal outings... Set a new career high with four goals vs. Long Beach State on Sept. 11... Named an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete.

2009: Burton scored 17 goals as a sophomore... Scored in 13 different games with three multiple-goal outings... Set a career high with three goals vs. Long Beach State on Sept. 12... Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Second Team and honored with the Elite 88 Award for holding the highest cumulative GPA of all NCAA men's water polo tournament participants.

2008: Burton scored five goals as a freshman... Scored in five different games... First career goal came in USC's opener against Claremont.

HIGH SCHOOL: Burton is a two-time All-CIF First Team selection out of Mira Costa High, Team won CIF Division IV championship in 2006... A 2006 and 2007 Daily Breeze All-South Bay First Team pick... Earned third team All-CIF and second team All-South Bay and all-league honors in 2005...An honor student... Plays club for LA Water Polo Club.

NATIONAL TEAMS: A member of the U.S. Youth National Team in 2006.

PERSONAL: Burton is double majoring in philosophy and broadcast journalism, and would like to one day become a lawyer... Parents are Lauren and Kent... Has one sister, Lindsay... Born Dec. 7, 1989.
