2000: Second on the team in scoring with 31 goals...earned second team All-MPSF honors...was the team leader in goals in three of the team's last four games of the season. Jovan Vavic Says: "Ivan is the only player that is left from our 1998 national championship squad, so he knows what it takes to win. He is the leader of this team, emotionally and physically. He is a great driver, has an outstanding shot and is very dangerous in the six-on-five offense."
1999: Babic had another good year as a 1999 sophomore, scoring 31 points (28 goals and three two-pointers)...earned All-American honorable mention notice for the second straight year and All-MPSF honorable mention...in MPSF play, he tied as USC's leading scorer with 11 points...scored a season-high four points against both Pacific (Oct. 16) and California (Nov. 7)...made the All-Southern California Tournament second team...at the 1999 Summer Nationals club tournament, Babic earned All-American second team honors.
1998: Babic proved to be an outstanding addition as a 1998 freshman, finishing tied for third on the team with 37 points (33 goals and four two-pointers)...earned All-American honorable mention, NCAA Tournament Co-Best Defensive Player and All-NCAA Tournament first team honors...had five goals against UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 31) and had five points against UC Davis (Oct. 17)...had a seven-game scoring streak in which he accumulated 14 points.
Yugoslavia: A native of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, Babic played for the Yugoslavian Junior National Team for three seasons, helping them to two Diana Cup titles and one Balkan Games championship...was the team's leading goal scorer at the Diana Cup in 1996...as a student at XI Belgrade Gymnasium, his junior team won the championship, and the senior team placed sixth in its division.
Personal: His last name is pronounced "BAW-bich"...has a 3.36 GPA at USC...birthdate is Feb. 23, 1980.
