    THIS SEASON: Ryner enters his second season of competition at USC.

    2012: Ryner appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman... Made 13 saves with 10 goals against in seven periods of work... First saves came in a three-goal period in USC's season opener vs. La Verne... Had four saves in one period vs. Pomona-Pitzer.

    2011: Ryner redshirted his first year at USC.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Ryner was an All-American in water polo and swimming at Miramonte High in Orinda, Calif... Won 2010 North Coast Section championship with water polo and set the NCS record in the medley relay in swimming in 2011... In water polo, was named to the 2011 NCS Second Team as a senior... Also earned all-league second team honors and was an eighth team All-American... In swimming, earned first team all-league honors in 2009 and 2011, and was a three-time All-American... Played club for Lamorinda Water Polo.

    PERSONAL: Ryner is majoring in broadcast and digital journalism and would like to pursue a career in sports... Parents are Cheryl and Pete... Has one brother, Jack...
