Suxho Leads USA Volleyball To Second Sweep In 2012 Olympics

The fifth-ranked and defending Olympic champion USA men's volleyball team, with ex-USC star Donald Suxho setting, posted its second consecutive sweep in the preliminary round of the 2012 London Olympics with a 25-23, 25-16, 25-20 win over No. 10 Germany on Tuesday (July 31).
Suxho had 58 assists, 8 digs and 2 blocks in the match.
Suxho, who lettered at USC from 1997 to 2000, was the 2000 National Collegiate Player of the Year. The native of Albania who came to America for college also participated in the 2004 Olympics for the USA.
The USA team next faces top-ranked Brazil in preliminary play on Thursday (Aug. 2) at noon (PT).
