2012 Camp Registration
USC men's volleyball head coach Bill Ferguson and his staff are hosting an advanced skill volleyball camp designed for boys between the ages of 14 to 18 seeking to maximize their potential in all areas of the game on July 16-18 at USC's Galen Center.
Bill Ferguson's USC Elite Camp is an advanced skill camp designed for boys between the ages of 14-18 seeking to maximize their potential in all areas of the game. The camp is open to everyone of all skill levels.
*Top quality instruction from the collegiate coaching staff.
*Dormitory housing on campus along with meals.
*6 hours of daily instruction/play, including use and tours of the state- of-the-art Galen Center.
*Elite level, all skills, and individual skill instruction.
*High coach to camper ratio.
*During drills, players are grouped by position, age, and ability in order to get maximum results.
SAMPLE DAILY SCHEDULE
8:30-9:30--Ball control circuit/practice
9:30-11:30--Specific skill stations/Galen
1:30-2:30--Stations: pass/blocking, hit
2:30-4:30--Game Scenario Drills/Wash
6:00-7:00--Video session/Game film
7:00-8:00--Individual Skill Set
9:00-10:15--Campers to rooms/clean up
The training sessions will be held on the USC campus in the state-of-the-art Galen Center built exclusively for men's and women's volleyball and basketball.
9:00 am on July 16, 2012, South entrance of the Galen Center.
5:00 pm on July 18, 2012, South entrance of the Galen Center.
Campers will stay in Birnkant Residence Hall located across the street from the Galen Center. There will be counselors and coaches in the dorms with the campers at all times and the dorms are monitored 24/7 by housing staff. There will be two campers per room. We will accept roommate requests, however, if a camper does not have a request, we will pair the campers according to age. Meals will be provided at IRC Parkside.
The camp staff will be comprised of the USC coaching staff to provide a great learning environment. Counselor to camper ratio: 1:10.
OUT OF STATE/AREA CAMPERS:
For all campers traveling from out of town or state, we will be providing pick-up/drop-offs for campers to and from LAX. We will also have a coach at LAX to meet the campers. Flights should arrive LAX around 8:00am Monday, July 16th and depart Wednesday, July 18th 8:00pm or later. Please send us an itinerary at least two weeks prior to camp so that we can arrange the pick-up.
WHAT TO BRING:
Campers need to bring a sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, toiletries, shoes, plenty of socks, athletic attire for multiple days and multiple sessions per day, snacks and an alarm clock.
*Resident Campers: $560
*Day Camper (8:30 am-4:00 pm): $460
*Both include meals and a camp t-shirt.
A $350 deposit is required by July 6, 2012
