Freshman men's volleyball player Joao Grangeiro was named to the 2003 All-MPSF second team, while senior Mark Dusharme made the honorable mention squad.

Grangeiro, a native of Rio de Janiero in Brazil, began the 2003 season as USC's starting libero, but moved into the lineup as an outside hitter by midseason. He led the Trojans in digs (299, 2 shy of the USC season record) and also had 170 kills, 13 aces (fourth on USC) and 27 blocks. He was third in the nation in dig average (2.56) and third in the MPSF (2.59).

Dusharme, who started 84 matches in his USC career, began the 2003 season at opposite hitter, but was moved to middle blocker by midseason before going to outside hitter several weeks later and then ended the year back at opposite. He led USC in kills (357) and aces (38), was second in blocks (65) and third in digs (119). He was 14th nationally in ace average (.340) and fifth in the MPSF (.312). He was named the MPSF Player of the Week following his performances against Lewis, Cal State Northridge and UC Santa Barbara and made the All-Active Ankle Tournament team for his play versus Penn State and Ball State.
