USC Men's Volleyball Sweeps No. 1 UC Irvine
Robert Feathers had 12 kills while hitting .526 and added 6 blocks to lead the No. 8-ranked USC men's volleyball team upset top-ranked and defending NCAA champion UC Irvine on the road, 25-21, 25-23, 27-25, before 1,726 fans in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday (Jan. 11). It was a rematch of last season's NCAA Championship match, won in a sweep by the Anteaters on Troy's home court. Tonight's win came one night after the Trojans, who upped their record to 1-1 overall and in the MPSF, were swept in their season opener at No. 14 UC San Diego.

UC San Diego Sweeps USC In Men's Volleyball MPSF Opener
The No. 14 UC San Diego men's volleyball team snapped a 7-match losing streak to USC with a 25-22, 25-22, 25-20 sweep over the No. 8 Trojans in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opener for both squads on Thursday (Jan. 10) in San Diego.

The No. 14-ranked USC men's volleyball team (4-11 overall, 4-11 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation), having lost 3 consecutive 5-set hearbreakers on the road, returns home this week for a pair of MPSF matches, first hosting No. 2 UC Irvine (16-4, 13-4) on Friday (March 15) and then UC San Diego (6-15, 3-13) on Saturday (March 16). Both matches start at 7 p.m. PT and will be held in USC's Lyon Center (the Trojans' former home) while the Galen Center is unavailable because of a prior booking.
