Matt Mosko had 13 kills to lead the USC men's volleyball team to a 30-20, 30-27, 30-25 sweep over California in the Trojans' home opener on Tuesday (Jan. 11) in the North Gym.
The Trojans improved to 2-2, while the Golden Bears fell to 0-2.
Andrew Vernon added 8 kills while hitting .538 and had 3 blocks for USC.
For Cal, Kris Kuchenbecker had 11 kills and Albrecht Glitz added 10 kills.
USC outhit Cal, .391 to .202, and had 8.0 while Cal had none.
USC next opens up Mountain Pacific Sports Federation play in Northern California when it plays at Stanford on Friday (Jan. 14) and then Pacific on Saturday (Jan. 15).
