The No. 7-ranked USC men's volleyball team (0-0 overall, 0-0 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation)--coming off its best season since 2001--begins its 2009 campaign with 3 matches at the Outrigger Hotels Invitational in Honolulu. On Thursday (Jan. 8), the Trojans face No. 1 Penn State (0-0), the defending NCAA champion, at 4 p.m. HT. Then, on Friday (Jan. 9), Troy meets No. 13 Hawaii (0-0), the host team, at 7 p.m. HT. USC concludes the tourney with a match on Saturday (Jan. 10) against No. 10 Ohio State (0-0) at 4 p.m. HT.
