    Trojans Sweep Past Cal State San Bernardino

    SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - The USC men's volleyball team opened up the regular season with a 15-5, 15-6, 15-6 whipping of Division II Cal State San Bernardino on Wednesday night at Coussoulis Arena in San Bernardino.

    The Trojans were without senior middle blocker Szilard Kovacs, who had the flu, and started three freshmen at outside hitter.

    Junior middle blocker Omar Rawi led USC with 12 kills, hit .364 and had five block assists. Freshman outside hitter Eli Fairfield had 10 kills. Sophomore setter Donald Suxho had 35 assists and four block assists.

    As a team, the Trojans hit .253 compared to the Coyotes' .038.
