    LOS ANGELES - Intimidating middle blocker Szilard Kovacs almost single-handedly wrestled the match away from George Mason early and then USC cruised to a 15-10, 15-11, 15-3 vitctory at nostalgic North Gym. SC is now 8 & 9 overall. The George Mason Patriots fall to 7 & 8.

    The 6-10 Kovacs registered 9 kills early and then sat out most of the third game. Freshman Ryan Thurlow led the Trojans with 11 kills and Omar Rawi had 10.

    The Men of Troy play at Pepperdine Tuesday the 17th and then travel to Ft. Wayne, Indiana next weekend for matches against Midwest powers Indiana-Purdue Ft. Wayne and Ball State University.

    The final home match of the season is March 25 against UC Santa Barabara.
