Junior All-American outside hitter Brook Billings had 25 kills and 8 digs, both match highs, to lead the No. 7-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 29-31, 30-24, 30-25, 31-29 win at No. 14 Cal State Northridge in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday, Feb. 16.
USC improved to 5-3 both overall and in MPSF play, while the Matadors dropped to 3-10 overall and 0-8 in the MPSF.
Senior outside hitter Eli Fairfield added 16 kills and 6 aces for the Trojans.
For CSUN, Eckhard Walter had 14 kills and Joe Nargi had 12.
USC next travels to Northern California for matches at Stanford and
Pacific next Friday and Saturday (Feb. 23 and 24), respectively.
