    Men's Volleyball Falls in Five

    The USC men's volleyball team lost another close match, this time at Loyola Marymount, 13-15, 15-13, 15-12, 11-15, 12-15, on Tuesday. The young Trojans, which start three freshmen, fell to 2-8 overall and 1-7 in the MPSF.

    The Trojans actually outhit the Lions, .290 to .242, and outblocked them, 15 to nine.

    USC senior middle blocker Szilard Kovacs had a career-high 32 kills to go with a .345 hitting percentage and 10 blocks. Freshman outside hitter Eli Fairfield also set a career high with 28 kills. Sophomore setter Donald Suxho had 71 assists, nine digs and four blocks.
