LOS ANGELES -- Brook Billings had a match-high 25 kills while hitting .588 to lead the No. 5-ranked USC men's volleyball team to a 15-8, 15-7, 15-9 victory over No. 11 Pacific in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday (Jan. 28) in the USC North Gym.
USC improved to 5-1 overall and remained unbeaten in MPSF play at 3-0, while Pacific fell to 3-5 overall and 3-2 in the MPSF.
Eli Fairfield added 13 kills and had a match-best 5 blocks for the Trojans, while teammate Beau Rawi had 9 kills and hit .615.
For the Tigers, Dan Hoefer had 11 kills and 3 aces.
USC outhit Pacific, .455 to .179.
USC next hosts No. 13 Stanford on Saturday (Jan. 29) at 7 p.m. in the
North Gym.
