LOS ANGELES--The USC men's volleyball team finished fourth at the UC Santa Barbara Collegiate Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 6).
After beating UC Davis and UC Irvine on Friday (Jan. 5), the third-seeded Trojans fell to No. 2 seed UCLA in the Saturday morning semifinals, 30-28, 30-28, 30-22, then lost to top seed Long Beach State in the evening's third place match, 24-26, 24-26, 26-24, 28-26, 15-11.
USC All-American Brook Billings was named to the All-Tournament team.
Host UC Santa Barbara upset the defending NCAA champion Bruins in the championship match in 5 games.
Troy's next match is its Mountain Pacific Sports Federation opener on
Jan. 17 against Cal State Northridge in the USC North Gym.
