    Austin Rysyk had 9 kills while Robert Feathers and Tanner Jansen both added 7 kills to help the No. 9 USC men's volleyball team sweep British Columbia-Okanagan, 25-10, 25-15, 25-23, in a 2013 season-opening exhibition match on Thursday (Jan. 3) as part of a 2-day, 4-team event in the Galen Center Pavilion.

    Micah Christenson added 8 digs and Cristian Rivera served 4 aces for the Trojans, who have advanced to the NCAA Final Four 3 times in the past 4 years.

    Riley McFarland led BC-Okanagan with 8 kills and 6 digs.

    In the day's first match, Brandon Lebrock had 12 kills and Greg Faulkner added 11 kills to help No. 12 Cal State Northridge post a 25-22, 25-16, 25-22 sweep over Alberta, Canada's top-ranked team.

    Kevin Proudfoot had 5 kills and 7 digs for Alberta, while John Goranson added 5 kills.

    On Friday (Jan. 4), Cal State Northridge plays British Columbia-Okanagan at 5 p.m., followed by USC versus Alberta at 7 p.m. Both exhibition matches are in the Galen Center arena and are free.
