    HIGH SCHOOL: He was the 2012 Mizuno/Volleyball Magazine Boys High School Player of the Year, AVCA All-American first team, Volleyball Magazine All-American first team, Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 list and Al-CIF Division I Player of the Year as a setter at Loyola High in Los Angeles (Calif.) ... Loyola made it to the 2012 CIF Division I finals ... As a sophomore at Loyola, his team was the 2010 CIF Division I championship and he earned All-Mission League second team honors ... Current Trojans Robert Feathers and Alex Slaught also prepped at Loyola ...

    PERSONAL: He was an alternate on the 2011 U.S. Youth National team ... He helped lead his Southern California Volleyball Club team to the 2012 U.S. Junior Olympics 18 Open Gold Division silver medal and the 2011 U.S. Junior Olympics 17 Open Gold Division gold medal while making the All-Tournament team both years ... In 2010, he was on the U.S. Youth A2 team that won a gold medal at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships and he made the 16 Open All-Tournament team at the Junior Olympics ... He participated in the 2009 U.S. Youth National Holiday Training Camp ... He was on the 14 Open bronze medal team at the 2008 Junior Olympics ... He also plays beach volleyball, winning a gold medal at the 2010 AAU Spring Beach Classic, a silver at the 2010 AAU Tour Championships and a gold at the 2009 AAU Palisades Open ...
