2012: The ambidextrous McKibbin, who has Trojan volleyball roots, is battling to start at opposite hitter as a junior in 2012 ...

2011: He spent most of his 2011 sophomore season as a backup outside hitter ... Overall in 2011 while appearing in 15 matches (starting 5 times), he had 30 kills, 25 digs, 11 blocks and 1 ace ... He had double kill figures once, hit .500-plus once and had 5-plus digs twice ...

2010: He showed his versatility as a first-year freshman in 2010 by seeing key playing time at opposite hitter (starting 7 times there) and libero (starting 6 times) ... Overall while appearing in 26 matches, he had 67 kills (hitting .155), 125 digs, 23 blocks and 6 aces ... PERSONAL: He tied for seventh at the 2011 World University Games beach competition in China...In the summer of 2010, he and current Trojan Tony Ciarelli tied for 13th at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships, tied for 33rd at the AVP Huntington Beach Open and placed second at the AVP Young Guns tourney in Long Beach (N.Y.) ... He made the Junior Olympics All-Tourney teams in 2006 (15's), 2007 (16's) and 2008 (17's), guiding his Outrigger Canoe Club team to bronze medals in 2006 and 2007 ... Also a fine beach player, he placed fifth at the 2008 FIVB Youth (Under-19) Beach World Championships ... He won the 2005 AAU Boys National Beach Volleyball Under-15 Championships ... He has a trio of relatives with USC volleyball roots: his brother, Riley, was a setter on the Trojans (2008-11) and led USC to a pair of NCAA Championship appearances (placing second in 2009 and tied for third in 2011), while his uncle, Owen, lettered in 1983-84-86-87, as the Trojans finished second at the NCAA Championships his final 2 seasons, and his aunt, Claudia, was a letterwinner on the Women of Troy's 1980 national championship team ...
