PERSONAL: He tied for seventh at the 2011 World University Games beach competition in China...In the summer of 2010, he and former Trojan Tony Ciarelli tied for 13th at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships, tied for 33rd at the AVP Huntington Beach Open and placed second at the AVP Young Guns tourney in Long Beach (N.Y.) ... He made the Junior Olympics All-Tourney teams in 2006 (15's), 2007 (16's) and 2008 (17's), guiding his Outrigger Canoe Club team to bronze medals in 2006 and 2007 ...
