    Trojans and Matadors will meet again in MPSF Tourney quarterfinal match Saturday at Galen Center.

    2014: McKibbin, who has Trojan volleyball roots, will compete for a starting job at opposite hitter or outside hitter as a senior in 2014 after being sidelined in 2013 with an injury ...

    2013: He redshirted as a senior in 2013 after having pre-season surgery on a stress fracture in his right shin ... He was a USC co-captain ...

    2012: He had 13 starts (8 at opposite hitter, 5 at outside hitter) as a junior in 2012 ... Overall in 2012 while appearing in 18 matches, he had 125 kills (hitting .255), 72 digs, 45 blocks and 6 aces ... He had 6 matches with double figures in kills, hit .500-plus 3 times, had 6 matches with 5-plus digs and 2 matches with 5-plus blocks ... He missed USC's first 9 matches of 2012 with an ankle sprain (when he returned, USC went on an 18-match winning streak) ...

He was the MVP of the 2009 Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 list and MVP of the Mizuno/Volleyball Magazine All-American team, plus made the Honolulu Star-Bulletin All-State team and the state All-Tournament team as a senior ... He was named to the 2008 Volleyball Magazine All-American third team as a junior, as well as to the 2007 and 2008 All-State team and the 2008 state All-Tournament team ... Current Trojan Henry Cassiday also prepped at Punahou ...

    PERSONAL: He tied for seventh at the 2011 World University Games beach competition in China...In the summer of 2010, he and former Trojan Tony Ciarelli tied for 13th at the World University Beach Volleyball Championships, tied for 33rd at the AVP Huntington Beach Open and placed second at the AVP Young Guns tourney in Long Beach (N.Y.) ... He made the Junior Olympics All-Tourney teams in 2006 (15's), 2007 (16's) and 2008 (17's), guiding his Outrigger Canoe Club team to bronze medals in 2006 and 2007 ... Also a fine beach player, he placed fifth at the 2008 FIVB Youth (Under-19) Beach World Championships ... He won the 2005 AAU Boys National Beach Volleyball Under-15 Championships ... He has a trio of relatives with USC volleyball roots: his brother, Riley, was a setter on the Trojans (2008-11) and led USC to a pair of NCAA Championship appearances (placing second in 2009 and tied for third in 2011), while his uncle, Owen, lettered in 1983-84-86-87, as the Trojans finished second at the NCAA Championships his final 2 seasons, and his aunt, Claudia, was a letterwinner on the Women of Troy's 1980 national championship team ... He plays the piano ... He received his bachelor's degree in business administration at USC in the spring of 2013 and is currently working on a master's degree in communication management, where he has an A- average (3.85 GPA) ...
