Trojans Drop Close Match to Rainbows
HONOLULU - Eric Seiffert had a match-high 31 kills and Chris Guigliano added 23 of his own for the Trojans, but USC came up shy, losing in four games in front of 10,225.
The Trojans won the second game, and battled close in the first and third, but the Rainbows (18-10, 10-9 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) pulled away in the fourth for a 15-12, 13-15, 15-11, 15-7 victory.
USC (12-11, 9-9 MPSF) got 89 assists from Donald Suxho and hit at a .311 clip.
Hawaii was led by Naveh Milo (28 kills) and Kahinu Lee, who posted 21 for the Rainbows.
