    Third-ranked Stanford Men's Volleyball Defeats 12th-ranked USC

    STANFORD, Calif. - United States Olympian Mike Lambert collected 27 kills and All-American Matt Fuerbringer added 25 to lead the third-ranked Stanford men's volleyball team to a come-from-behind five game victory over 12th-ranked USC in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match Friday night in Maples Pavilion.

    The Trojans, who earlier in the season had upset the Cardinal, won the first two games, 15-10, 15-12, before Stanford came back to win the final three games. Freshman Andy Witt added 21 kills for Stanford, which upped its season record to 8-2 overall and 6-2 in the MPSF.

    Gabe Gardner led USC with 28 kills, followed by Chris Guigliano with 22. USC fell to 8-6 overall and 5-4 in conference.
