Steve Johnson and Robert Farah celebrated two NCAA championships together as USC teammates. This past weekend, however, the Trojan friends had to go toe-to-toe with one another for the right to one single championship crown. This one, they would not be able to share.

Now both pros, the two Trojans crossed paths in Aptos, Calif., at the Comerica Bank Challenger. Farah had come into the match already with a big tournament win of his own on the singles side. But when Farah came up against Johnson in this final, it was Johnson's turn to take home a title. A four-time NCAA team champ and back-to-back NCAA singles champion, Johnson grabbed the win over Farah with a 6-3, 6-3 decision.

The win lifts Johnson up to 235 in the ATP point ranking, while Farah bumped up to 165. Johnson is lined up as a likely wild card entry into the coming U.S. Open in Flushing Meadows.
