No. 7 USC Men Upend Utah With 7-0 Victory|

LOS ANGELES - The No. 7 USC men's tennis team took to the court today and annihilated Utah 7-0 at Marks Stadium. The Trojans are now 3-0 in Pac-12 Conference play and 17-3 overall.
The Trojans claimed the first win of the day as Nick Crystal and Roberto Quiroz defeated Utah's Cedric Williams and Matt Cowley 6-1 on court one. Not long after on court three, Max de Vroome and Thibault Forget took down the Ute duo of Johan Jonhagen and Santiago Sierra 6-1 to collect the doubles point for USC. These two speedy matches were completed in under 30 minutes.
USC entered the singles portion of the competition leading the match 1-0. On court four, #35 Jonny Wang blasted through his match and claimed a decisive 6-0, 6-0 victory over his Ute opponent, Matt Cowley. With this win, Wang extended his winning streak to nine matches, currently the longest winning streak on the team. Shortly thereafter, USC's Rob Bellamy earned another point for the Trojans as he shut down Utah's Santiago Sierra with a strong 6-1, 6-0 win.
On court five, USC's #68 Nick Crystal continued to have a successful day as the momentum from his doubles win rolled over into the singles portion of the match. He destroyed his competition as he was victorious over Utah's Johan Jonhagen with a solid 6-0, 6-1 win. Crystal's victory clinched the match for the Trojans. This was Crystal's third clincher this season, with the other two being against Florida (Jan. 31) and San Diego (March 5).
Even though USC had already secured the victory for Troy, the rest of the matches were played out. On court two, #19 Roberto Quiroz took the first set of his match versus Utah's Parker McGuiness with a swift 6-0 win. The second set proved to be more challenging. With a loud battle cry on the last point, Quiroz took the second set 6-3 and won his match to put the Trojans at 4-0 on the day's overall score.
Courts one and three finished within minutes of each other. On court one, USC #114 Eric Johnson defeated Ute opponent Cedric Willems 6-3, 6-2. #66 Max de Vroome had the final word of the day as he closed out the match with his 6-0, 6-3 victory over Utah's Freddie McGeehan to give the Trojans their final point in the 7-0 sweep of the Utes.
The competition continues for the Trojans as they take on Arizona on Saturday (April 4) at 1 p.m. in Marks Stadium as they continue Pac-12 competition.
