    THIS SEASON: Abdullah "Mag" Magdas enters his second season of competition as USC's lone senior on the roster... Ranks No. 65 in the ITA preseason singles rankings... During the fall, went 7-5 in singles and 1-2 in doubles... Reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Regionals and consolation quarterfinals of the ITA All-American in singles... Went 2-3 at the UVA Invitational.

    2007-08: Magdas ended the season on a four-match win streak after winning all his singles matches during the NCAA Team Championships... Finished at 24-8 overall and 19-6 in dual match play, playing at the No. 4 (3-0), No. 5 (8-5) and No. 6 (8-1) positions... Reached the singles quarterfinals of the Pac-10 Invitational... Also went 12-9 in doubles play, including an 8-6 dual-match mark at No. 2 with Gary Sacks... Earned Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention... Reached the final of the Pac-10 Invitational doubles playing with Daniel Gliner... Did not compete in the fall.

    2006-07: Magdas did not compete in his first season at USC due to eligibility requirements.

    HIGH SCHOOL: Magdas is a 2004 graduate of Salah Il Din in Kuwait...Won the Kuwait School League title... Played club for Yarmouk Club, winning the Kuwait championship at the under-12, under-14 and under-18 levels... A member of the Kuwait national team, played in the Davis Cup against New Zealand and Kazakhstan... Was ranked No. 18 in the junior world rankings.

    PERSONAL: Abdullah Yacoub Magdas was born on March 31, 1987 in Kuwait... Son of Yacoub and Shaheen... Has one brother, Ali, and one sister, Shahad... Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero and "Lost" and "Prison Break" as his favorite TV shows... Would like to work in business or continue playing tennis after graduation... Is majoring in political science.
