The 2002-2003 USC men's and women's swimming and diving teams will kick off the new season with their annual Cardinal and Gold intrasquad exhibition meet at McDonald's Swim Stadium on Friday (Oct. 18) at 3 p.m.

Among the top returning men's swimmers expected to compete for cardinal and gold bragging rights is three-time career NCAA champion and co-captain Erik Vendt and senior co-captain Jeff Lee, who was a five-time All-American last year and the only returning member of Troy's NCAA-winning 800y free relay.

Some of the top women's swimmers set to race include senior co-captain Michala Kwasny, a three-time All-American last year, senior co-captain Asa Sandlund and two-time 2002 All-American Jennifer Parmenter.

USC will participate in its first regular-season dual meet Nov. 1 and 2 when it travels to Austin, Texas, to take on the Longhorns.
