Former USC swimmer (1987-90) Timothy Olyphant, who has carved out a high-profile acting career since graduation, appeared at the 2011 Emmy Awards Sunday night, nominated for Best Actor for his role in the FX drama "Justified."

Olyphant, who did not win Sunday night though others on his show did, graduated from USC with a degree in fine arts in 1990. As a junior, he was USC's third-fastest in the 200y back and was 14th in the event at the Pac-10 Championships. As a sophomore, he was 11th in the 200y IM at Pac-10s.

He swam for legendary Trojan coach Peter Daland. Current USC head coach Dave Salo was an assistant while Olyphant was swimming at Troy.
