    Men's Swimming and Diving Heads to 1998 NCAA Championships

    LOS ANGELES - The No. 6 USC men's swimming and diving team heads east this weekend for the 1998 NCAA Championships this Thursday through Saturday (March 26-28) at Auburn's James E. Martin Aquatics Center in Auburn, Ala.

    USC, under two-time NCAA Coach of the Year Mark Schubert, is led by two-time 1998 World Champion Lenny Krayzelburg, the defending title winner in the 200 back, as well as fellow 1998 World Championship competitors Bela Szabados and Mark Kwok. Also among those headed to Auburn are four other returning All-Americans as well as heralded freshman swimmer Philippe Demers and Pac-10 champion freshman diver Justin Dumais.

    Preliminaries will begin each day at 9 a.m. and finals will begin at 5 p.m. (PST). The meet will be broadcast by ESPN on a tape-delay basis at 9:30 p.m. (PST) on April 4.

    USC finished sixth at last year's NCAAs.
