    Ishimatsu Wins 3-Meter Title at Day One of Bruin Diving Invitational

    LOS ANGELES - Senior Haley Ishimatsu finished in first place in the women's 3-meter, while junior Collin Pollard won the men's 1-meter event to close out the first day of competition at the Bruin Dive Invitational on Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Spieker Aquatics Center in Westwood, Calif.

    Ishimatsu, who holds a 2014 Pac-12 title on the 3-meter, seized the win with 601.65 points. Junior Natalie Kalibat also had an impressive performance as she placed third with 565.30 points. Fellow Trojan, freshman Alexa Cacao finished 16th (473.30).

    Pollard captured his second 1-meter title this season with a score of 689.40 points. Junior Deon Reid was fourth (621.05) and senior Jordan Gear was fifth (592.20).

    Day two of the three-day invitational will begin at 11 a.m. PT with men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter on Sunday (Jan. 18) at the Spieker Aquatics Center.
