LOS ANGELES -USC freshman diver Justin Dumais, who earned a pair of All-American honors at the NCAA Championships in March, continued his fine season with a stellar performance at the 1998 U.S. Spring National Diving Championship at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., on April 14-19.

Dumais' fourth-place finish in the platform qualified him for the FINA/USA Diving Grand Prix meet May 7-10 in Orlando, Fla. Dumais' win in the synchronized event qualified him for the Goodwill Games July 23-27.

The Trojan Dive Club, under the direction of USC Head Diving Coach Jeff Shaffer, won the overall team title at the National Championships with 109 points.
