    The Trojans claimed the 200y free relay to secure third place in the last event on the second and final night of the 2014 SMU Classic on Saturday (Jan. 18) in Dallas.

    Michigan won the meet with 333 points with Florida second (321) and the Trojans third (298). Louisville was fourth (266.5) with Purdue fifth (244.5) and host SMU sixth (210).

    USC's 200y medley relay of seniors Chase Bloch and Dimitri Colupaev and freshmen Michael Domagala and Santo Condorelli finished third in 1:27.61 to kick off the second session.

    Junior Cristian Quintero finished second in a tightly raced 500y free `A' final, touching in 4:17.99, 1.45 back of Michigan senior Connor Jaeger, the defending NCAA champion in the race.

    Sophomore Morten Klarskov was fifth in the `A' final of the 200y breast (1:58.70) while Colupaev was fourth in the `B' final (2:00.58).

    Bloch was third in the `A' final of the 200y back (1:45.08) with a time just 1.18 off his season best while freshman Dylan Carter was fourth in the `B' final (1:48.77).

    Sophomore Collin Pollard, second on 1-meter Friday, was fourth on 3-meter in 356.90.

    Quintero got the berth in the competitive `A' final of the 100y free and was third in 43.46, 0.80 off his best. Condorelli won the `B' final in 44.15.

     

     

    Domagala was third in the 200y fly in 1:46.02, less than a second off his season best, in the `A' final while freshman Reed Malone was third in the `B' final (1:48.57).

    Colupaev led USC in the `A' final of the 200y IM with a 1:46.12 while Klarskov came home in second of the `B' final (1:49.27).

    USC finished off the meet in strong fashion as the quartet of Condorelli, Bloch, Quintero and Carter touched in 1:19.61, edging Florida's 1:19.67.
