THIS SEASON: Emmett Walling is a 2011 senior co-captain working to build off his NCAA Championships debut as a junior. He is a strong sprint freestyler and breaststroker who is ranked among USC's top 10 in the 50y free and 100y breast.
2010: Walling was a consolation finalist at the 2010 NCAA Championships as a junior, claiming 16th in the 100y breast (54.02). He finished 24th in the 50y free (19.77) and raced on the 200y and 400y free relays and the 200y medley relay ... At the 2010 Pac-10 Championships, Walling was ninth in the 50y free (1974) and 11th in both the 100y breast (54.46) and 100y free (44.06).
INDIAN RIVER: Walling was part of Indian River's 34th and 35th straight NJCAA national titles in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, He set NJCAA records in the 50y free (19.43) and the 100y breast (53.83) and was named the 2009 Swimmer of the Meet. In 2008, he was third in the country in the 100y free and was part of an NJCAA record in the 400y free relay ... He was the 2005 NJSIAA individual state champion in the 100y breast and the 200 IM as a prep junior.
