THIS SEASON: A talented distance freestyler, 2013 freshman Ted Singley will make an immediate impact in dual meets and the post-season, providing scoring punch between the 500y and 1650y free and possibly in the 200y fly. HIGH SCHOOL: Singley, who preps at Carroll Senior High in Southlake, Texas, is a 2011-12 National Junior Teamer who was 19th in the 1500m free at the 2011 U.S. Nationals. He was second in the 500y free at the 2011 Texas UIL State Swimming Championships. A Scholastic All-American, he is also a rising open water swimmer ... He put forth a strong showing at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 16th in the 1500m free (15:33.23), 24th in the 200m fly and 30th in the 400m free (3:56.64). CLUB: North Texas Nadadores.
