Trojans Sweep Wisconsin In Two-Day Meet
No. 3 women improve to 5-0, men to 3-1.
THIS SEASON: A strong freestyler and backstroker, 2012 freshman Luca Spinazzola will add to USC's improving middle-distance and distance freestyle corps and help the backstroke depth. He will look to provide depth at dual meets and become a factor in the postseason.
HIGH SCHOOL: Spinazzola won six Rhode Island state titles while at Narragansett (R.I.) High, including claiming the 500y free (4:35.56) as a senior in state-record fashion and bettering a 14-year old pool record while winning the 100y back (49.74). He won the 50y and 100y free in 2010 and the 500y free and 100y back in 2009 ... At the 2011 New England Swimming 13-19 Age Group Championships, he won the 50m and 100m free and the 100m back ... He was a national and junior national qualifier.
CLUB: Bluefish Swim Club/Chuck Batchelor.
