THIS SEASON: Andrew Schneider, a 2009 junior, is an improved swimmer who will provide depth and dual meet scoring in the middle distance and fly events for the Trojans.
2008: Schneider, as a 2008 sophomore, raced in three events at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, finishing 22nd in the 50y free (20.96), 24th in the 100y free (45.99) and 27th in the 200y free (1:43.11).
2007: As a 2007 freshman, Schneider competed in the free and fly events for the Trojans.
HIGH SCHOOL: Schneider prepped at Campolinda High in Moraga, Calif., where he was an All-American (relays) as a junior and senior ... He was on the National Honor Roll, was named to the Who's Who of American High School Students and maintained a 4.0 GPA through high school.
CLUB: Orinda Aquatics.
PERSONAL: He was born on Aug. 20, 1988 ... A political science major, Schneider plays the cello and guitar ... He is an Eagle Scout.
