THIS SEASON: Sophomore Boomer Roepke is a versatile swimmer who can help the Trojans in the breast, fly or medley.
2008: Roepke raced in three events at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, finishing 24th in both the 100y fly (51.15) and the 200y breast (2:10.95) and was 33rd in the 200y IM (1:55.00).
HIGH SCHOOL: Roepke prepped at Reno (Nev.) High, where he was a four-year prep All-American swimmer and earned all-state honors each year in school ... He won a state title in the 200y breast as a sophomore ... He played football four years at Reno, earning 2005 and 2006 All-State honors as a punter, 2005 and 2006 Northern Nevada first team honors as a punter and kick/punt returner and 2005 and 2006 Sierra League and Northern Nevada first team honors as a receiver, punter and kick/punt returner ... He was student body president, president of student council and earned Academic All-State honors in football ... He was a member of the Junior National short course team for his club team.
CLUB: Reno Aquatic Club.
PERSONAL: He was born on Aug. 11, 1989 ... His mother Suzanne attended USC and his father Carl started at running back at Utah.
