THIS SEASON: Nick Karpov, a 2013 senior from Canada, is among USC's top returning backstrokers who is building on three consecutive NCAA appearances. He is USC's fourth-fastest ever in the 100y back and seventh in the 200y back. 2012: In his third straight trip to the NCAA Championships as a 2012 junior, Karpov was USC's top finisher in the 100y back, taking 18th in 47.10. He was also 24th in the 200y back (1:44.09) and helped USC's 200y medley relay to 12th ... At the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, Karpov was 15th in the 100y back (48.93) and 20th in the 200y back (1:47.70) ... He was a finalist in the 100m back at the 2012 Canadian Olympic Trials, taking eighth, and was 22nd in the 100m back and tied for 37th in the 100m free. 2011: Karpov competed in three events at the 2011 NCAA Championships as a sophomore, finishing 23rd in the 100y back (47.38), 25th in the 200y back (1:43.99) and helped USC to 12th in the 200y medley relay ...
