THIS SEASON: A much improved butterflyer, 2004 junior Aaron Kleyn will look to become a point-scorer at the Pac-10 level in his third year with the team.
2003: Kleyn provided depth in the fly for the Trojans as a 2003 sophomore.
2002: Kleyn swam a pair of exhibition swims at the 2002 Pac-10s, posting a 50.57 in the 100y fly and a 1:50.13 in the 200y fly. Kleyn also competed in middle-distance freestyle events in non-conference meets ... Swam best time of 50.21 in the 100y fly and 1:49.96 in the 200y fly at the Speedo Cup.
HIGH SCHOOL: A two-time prep All-American at Bolles School in Jacksonville, Fla., Kleyn was sixth at the 2000 Junior Summer Nationals in the 100-meter fly ... He earned All-State honors all four years in Florida.
PERSONAL: He was born on July 31, 1982 ... He was on Honor Roll all four years of high school ... He enjoys skateboarding and ultimate frisbee.
