THIS SEASON: Josh Joiner, a 2010 sophomore, is USC's top returning butterflyers who looks to improve to the NCAA level in his second year in the program.
2009: Joiner was a 2009 Pac-10 Championship finalist as a 2009 freshman, finishing seventh in the 200y fly (1:46.10). His prelim time of 1:45.84 was USC's best for the year. He was also 14th in the 100y fly (48.03), that time second best on the season for the Trojans.
HIGH SCHOOL: Joiner, who prepped at Los Alamitos High, was named his school's Swimmer of the Year as a senior ... At the 2008 USA Swim Sectionals in California, he was second in 200m fly. He was fifth in the 100y back and the 100y fly at 2008 CIF Southern Section Championships.
CLUB: Irvine Novaquatics.
