No. 5 USC Set Sights High For Pac-12 Championships
Morozov, Colupaev, Lendrum among Trojans leading charge into conference meet.
THIS SEASON: Nick Johnson, a 2012 sophomore, is an improving distance swimmer who looks to take a big leap in his second year with the Trojans.
2011: Johnson was among USC's top distance swimmers as a 2011 freshman, racing in three events at the 2011 Pac-10 Championships. He was ninth in the 1650y free (15:26.28), 13th in the 500y free (4:26.54) and 18th in the 400y IM (4:00.92). His Pac-10 time in the mile was an NCAA `B' cut and a PR.
HIGH SCHOOL: Johnson prepped at Jesuit High in Sacramento, Calif., where he was a member of the 2010 U.S. World Youth Team. In 2009, he posted the sixth-fastest time in the 1500m at the U.S. Open Championships and the fifth-fastest time in the 400m free.
CLUB/COACH: Arden Hills Swimming/Brian Nabeta, Kirk Johnson, Chris Oshiro.
PERSONAL: Born March 20, 1992 ... He is majoring in business, management, marketing and related support services.
