THIS SEASON: A talented distance swimmer, 2009 freshman Colin Heinrich will look to carve out a spot on the squad as a dual-meet contributor with hopes to be post-season factor as well.
HIGH SCHOOL: Heinrich, who prepped at Trinity Episcopal in Richmond, Va., was a two-time prep All-American who earned Richmond Times-Dispatch All-Metro first team honors as a 2008 senior ... A two-time team MVP, he won Virginia State Independent School titles in the 200y and 500y free as a junior and a senior and was also Virginia All-State first team ... He is the state record holder in the 800y free and was a 2007 USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

PERSONAL: He was born on Feb. 11, 1990 ... He is considering medicine or writing as a profession ... His father Mark swam at Navy.
