No. 5 USC Set Sights High For Pac-12 Championships
Morozov, Colupaev, Lendrum among Trojans leading charge into conference meet.
THIS SEASON: Justin DiFederico, a 2012 junior, is a talented and versatile swimmer who has improved each year at USC and looks primed to make his first NCAA Championships appearance this year.
2011: DiFederico was a two-time 2011 Pac-10 Championships finalist as a 2011 sophomore, taking seventh in the 200y fly (1:47.60) and eighth in the 400y IM (3:57.53). He was also 23rd in the 200y IM (1:50.65). He set PRs in the 200y fly (1:45.57) and the 400y IM (3:52.94) in Pac-10 prelim swims, both NCAA `B' cuts and second best for the Trojans on the year.
2010: DiFederico's 2010 freshman campaign was highlighted by an 11th-place finish in the 200y fly (1:50.36) at the 2010 Pac-10 Championships. He was also 20th in the 100y fly (49.97) and 22nd in the 200y IM (1:52.02).
HIGH SCHOOL: DiFederico won CIF San Diego Section Division II titles in the 100y back and 100y fly as a junior and a senior while competing for Christina High in El Cajon, Calif. ... At the 2009 U.S. World Championships Trials, he finished eighth in the `B' final of the 200m fly (2:02.41) and was 13th in prelims (2:01.35) ... At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, he was 54th in the 200m fly (2:03.11) ... Named to the San Diego Union All-San Diego Section first team.

PERSONAL: He was born on April 24, 1991. He is majoring in visual and performing arts.
