Trojans in seventh after first night.
THIS SEASON: Freshman freestyler Chad Bobrosky is a top-flight freestyler who will immediately bolster USC's middle-distance events. A Canadian national team member, he will also improve USC's already strong freestyle relays.
HIGH SCHOOL: Bobrosky prepped at Bishop Carroll Senior High in Calgary, Canada. In the 2011 summer, he represented Canada at the 2011 World Championships, taking 27th in the 200m free (1:49.01) and swimming the third leg of Canada's 10th-place 4x200m free relay. He earned his World Championships berth (as the youngest member of Canada's men's national team) by taking second in the 200m free (1:49.34) at the Canadian World Championship Trials. Bobrosky also competed at the FINA World Juniors in Lima, Peru, where he won the 200m free (1:49.13) ... He was also a member of the Canadian Youth Olympic team in 2010 and was the Rookie of the Meet at his first senior national meet in 2008 ... Bobrosky is an accomplished triathlete who has won many provincial age group events and has also run cross country.
