Justin Suh, a high school state champion from San Jose who is ranked 28th nationally and fifth in California, has signed a national letter of intent with USC, Trojan men's golf coach Chris Zambri announced Wednesday (Nov. 12).

"Justin has been committed to USC for some time and has shown at an early age that he is one of the best California golfers in his class," Zambri said. "He has had tremendous success at the junior level and I fully expect that he will make major contributions to our team when he begins his Trojan career next fall."

Suh, who preps at Evergreen Valley High in San Jose, is a rare a four-time qualifier for the USGA Junior Amateur who already has a handful of big wins on his resume. Among the few who have qualified four times for the USGA Junior Amateur are PGA stars Tiger Woods and Jordan Spieth.

Suh won the 2014 NGCA Junior Championship and also captured the 2014 Californian and Central Coast Section titles. As a 2013 sophomore, he tied for third at the Central Coast Section event.

He won the individual title at the 2014 Hogan Cup and took second at the 2014 Junior America's Cup. He was named the 2014 San Jose Mercury News Boys Golfer of the Year and the 2013 Junior Tour of Northern California Player of the Year.
