USC Men's Golf Finishes Second At William H. Tucker Intercollegiate

Senior Nick Webb and sophomore John Ray Leary each shot a one under par 215 over 54 holes to lead the USC men's golf team to a second place finish at the University of New Mexico's William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in Albuquerque, New Mex., on Saturday (Oct. 2).

USC shot 866 as a team to finish two over par and 10 strokes behind tournament champion Brigham Young University. Host New Mexico and UNLV tied for third, while Oklahoma placed fifth.

The Trojans had four golfers finish in the top 20 individually. Webb and Leary were tied for fifth, while sophomore Kevin Stadler shot for par (216) to finish 12th and junior Nick Jones shot four over par (220) to finish 18th. Colorado State's Nigel Spence shot eight under par (208) to take the individual championship.

USC next plays in the Northwestern University Windon-Memorial Classic being held October 4-5 (Monday-Tuesday).
