Sophomore Steve Lim tied for 13th overall while junior Daniel Park and freshman Sam Smith tied for 28th to lead the USC men's golf team on the final day of the 2009 Gifford Collegiate at CordeValle on Wednesday (Nov. 10) in San Martin, Calif.

The Trojans tied for sixth at 3-under 1077 (353-362-362). Stanford was first at 24-under 1056 while Oklahoma State was second (1059) and Augusta State was third (1061).

Lim finished at 4-under 212 (70-69-73) to post his second straight top 15 finish. He was 3-over for most of the round, but birdied two of his final three holes to secure the tie for 13th.

Park and Smith finished with identical three-day results, both finishing at par 216 with rounds of 70-75-71. Smith's final round included four birdies and three bogeys while Park had two birdies and one bogey.

Freshman Martin Trainer tied for 38th at 2-over 218 (72-73-73), junior Bo DeHuff tied for 46th at 5-over 221 (71-76-74) and freshman T.J. Vogel tied for 57th at 8-over 224 (76-70-78).

USC is now off until the spring semester.
