Men's Golf Finishes 14th At NCAA Championships

Stillwater, Okla. - The USC men's golf team shot 312 on Friday to finish 14th at the 2003 Men's Golf Championships held at Oklahoma State's Karsten Creek Golf Course.
It's the best finish for the Trojans at the NCAAs since also placing 14th in 1997.
USC had a 72-hole total of 1221 (300-311-298-312, +69), 30 strokes behind NCAA Champion Clemson (1191). Oklahoma State was second (1193), followed by UCLA (1197) and Wake Forest and Florida (1198).
Freshman Taylor Wood led the Trojans, shooting 303 to tied for 35th. Alejandro Canizares of Arizona State was the NCAA medalist with a score of 287. Lee Williams of Auburn was second (289), Matt Rosenfeld of Texas and Chris Stroud of Lamar tied for third (290) and Brock Mackenzie of Washington was fifth (291).
